There is someone still breathing that you have not forgiven.
A mother. A sister. A daughter. A husband. A friend you lost over nothing.
You have carried it for years and called it normal.
On the first night you put it down. And before you leave that room you send one message you have not been sending for a very long time.

The Date
The new moon falls on the seventh of April at twenty past five in the morning.
So on the evening of the sixth, the sky over Goa has no moon in it at all.

You do not go back to your room after that.
The doors open, and the bhajan clubbing begins. Bhajans at a volume you have never heard them at, in a room full of women about to dance.
The quietest moment of your life, and then the loudest.
Spiritual clubbing. Live voice, and a floor that does not stop.

The walking meditation
Before the sun is up, every woman walks alone on the sand with the same voice in her ears.
No line. No instructions. Nobody watching.
An hour on the sand, and you come back as someone else.

For your husband
I want to ask you for something small that matters a lot to me. From 5 to 7 April I would like to go to a women's retreat in South Goa, Date With Divine. It is three days for me to rest, think and come back lighter. Please say yes. It matters to me, and I think it will be good for us.
For your mother or mother‑in‑law
Mummy, I wanted to tell you something before anyone else. From 5 to 7 April I am going to a retreat for women in South Goa, only three days. You have always taught me to take care of everyone, and I want to come back able to do that with a fuller heart. Your blessing would mean everything to me.
For your children
From 5 to 7 April I am going to Goa for three days, just for me. I will miss you, and I will call you every evening. When I come back I want to tell you all about it. Look after each other, and look after Papa, while I am gone.

Questions
Will I share a room?
Yes. Rooms are on a shared basis, with another woman attending the retreat. If you are coming with a friend, tell us on WhatsApp (the number is at the bottom of this page) after you book and we will try to place you together.
What will we eat?
All meals and refreshments are included for the three days, prepared by the resort. Vegetarian food is always available. Tell us about any allergy or fast and we will take care of it.
What should I pack?
Light cotton clothes, a shawl, and clothes you can dance in. Nothing expensive on your feet.
Can I keep my phone?
Yes, your phone stays with you.
I am coming alone. Is that all right?
Most women come alone, and nobody stays alone for long.
How do I get to South Goa?
The nearest airports are Dabolim (GOI) and Mopa (GOX); Dabolim is closer to the resort. Madgaon is the nearest railway station. We will share travel guidance on WhatsApp (the number is at the bottom of this page) once your name is down.
Can I bring someone with me?
You can bring a sister, mother, daughter or friend, as long as she is a woman joining the retreat herself. Each woman needs her own ticket, and the stay is part of every ticket.
